GAMES LIKE CANDY CRUSH FREE
We reckon this is the best of the Zookeepers, but if you really prefer your puzzlers to be free and slightly social like Candy Crush Saga, check out Zookeeper Battle. If that sounds too cute by half, you're right. Instead of matching jelly beans and pear drops, then, you have to match elephants and monkeys. This time, though, you're rounding up animals in a zoo. As such, it, too, is a natural next step for Candy Crush Saga fans. Zookeeper DX is very much hewn from the same virtual rock as Piyo Blocks 2, both in terms of block-swapping gameplay and cutesy art style. It's the usual case of swapping, matching, and setting off chain reactions, but with some blissfully satisfying screen-obliterating bonus power-ups and a whole heap of modes and skins.
It doesn't quite have the daily rhythm of King's modern phenomenon, but the match-three gameplay is arguably more compelling. If you're after a cute, colourful, and addictive block-swapping match-three game - which is Candy Crush Saga in a Peanut M&M shell - you can't get much better than Piyo Blocks 2. And moving your Candy Crush Saga addict onto something different is half the battle, right? Piyo Blocks 2
The important thing is that they're NOT Candy Crush Saga. In fact, we'd say that each of the following five games is just plain better.
